EU–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement
The EU's largest bilateral trade agreement: it eliminates most tariffs between Europe and Japan, recognises European geographical indications, opens up public procurement and eases technical barriers. To obtain the preferential tariff, the exporter must prove origin through a statement on origin or the importer's knowledge. An additional protocol safeguards data flows between the two economies.
